Laser cleaning is primarily used to remove rust, corrosion, contaminants from metal components, or oil residues and weld slag from moulds. Compared to traditional cleaning methods, it offers a fast, efficient, non-destructive and environmentally friendly solution. It also plays a significant role in the restoration of ancient artefacts made of materials such as stone carvings, stone steles, pottery, and metal vessels, as well as in the cleaning of architectural stone materials. Laser cleaning enables precise control of energy and position, allowing for the accurate cleaning of specific areas, depths, and intensities while avoiding damage.
Fiber lasers applied in laser cleaning machines include 50 W–300 W pulsed fiber lasers and 1000 W–3000 W continuous fiber lasers. Changjin's dual-clad series of erbium-doped fiber products provide a range of options for the fiber laser light sources required by laser cleaning machines.
